Privacy notice
This notice explains how David Buckley uses the personal information you send through davidbuckley.uk.
Who is responsible for your information
David Buckley is the data controller for messages sent through this website. As an elected councillor, he is responsible for the casework he handles on behalf of residents.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number and street or postcode, along with your message. We also record the date and time you sent it. Your IP address is used briefly to block spam and abuse, and is not stored with your message.
How we use it
We use your information only to read and reply to your message and, if you ask David to take something up, to raise it with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Datchet Parish Council or another relevant organisation. The legal basis is your consent, and for casework, the public task of an elected representative. We never sell your details and never add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who can see it
Messages go by email to David's office. If your message is casework, we may share the relevant details with the council officers or organisations who can help. We share only what they need.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and no longer than the end of David's current term of office plus one year.
Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies, and loads no third-party trackers.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Use the contact form to make a request. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
